The Littles

I am fascinated by the use/manipulation of miniatures in photography, such as tilt-shift, so I was thrilled to discover the work of Vincent Bousserez. His work transforms everyday objects into a colossal world for little plastic people. The perspective is amazing.

Thomas Allen: An Encore

I know that Thomas Allen has made an appearance on numerous blogs, but I couldn't resist. His work is incredible! He takes pulp fiction paperbacks and like a skilled surgeon, slices up the covers and creates these amazing dioramas. The characters literally jump off the pages.

Thomas Allen was kind enough to share with me, a folder showcasing most of his work over the past 9 years. And I quote, "something other bloggers won't find online." Thank you Thomas Allen!

Here are some of my favorites.

Land of Make Believe

On Tuesday evening I discovered the wonderful world of tilt-shift photography. Tilt-shifting manipulates photos and makes them appear miniature. You can make your street look like it belongs in Mr. Roger's neighborhood of make-believe. And tiltshiftmaker.com lets you do this without any special lenses.

Take a look...

Here is my feeble attempt. This picture was taken on our vacation in the Outer Banks last summer. It helps to have an aerial shot. Thankfully we were on top of a lighthouse for this one. Can't you just imagine Mr. Roger's hand reaching down over the house? In a friendly way.
