In Stitches

I am an avid reader of craft blogs (hence "the studious crafter") and I am in constant awe of all the neat things that people make. Well, they have inspired me to acquire a new craft: Embroidery. Sublime Stitching offers hip patterns and starter kits for newbies like me. Also, you can find free patterns on Pimp Stitch. Wish me luck!

    I love Sublime Stitching; they have the cutest and most creative stitching patterns. I especially enjoy their "Artist Series" - I'm always pleasant surprised by their picks! Jim Woodring, Daniel Johnston...wonderful wonderful.

    (My faves from your selections are the octopus + jellyfish (I think jellyfish are awesome) and the kid in a costume passed out next to a large present.)

    I just began my sublime stitching project and it's sooo much easier than traditional embroidery
